May 4 to June 1, 2013 - "Visons Of Peace"
Visions of Peace, is a multi-media exhibit of student's art created by metro-Detroit area youth in support of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This is the 20th year for this exhibit, which reflects the life's work of Lillian Mellen Genser, a lifelong advocate for peace and social justice, and an inductee into the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame.
Participating artists range in age from pre-school to high school students and will represent schools and groups from the metro Detroit area. The two floors of the Gallery will be filled with their inspiring and thoughtful art. Some pieces will be individual works and many others will be collaborative works.
